sweet . chestnut . 2pack . keep it local


Fresh off the machine is our new upgraded 2pack chair.
We've got hold of some locally coppiced sweet chestnut and re-thunked the joints to make something engineeringly gorgeous.

It was on show for the first time on the British Council stand at 100%Design the other week.

Diddy (the stool) is ready this week . Biggie versions in the pipeline....

British Council Competition

So Nick made the final of the UK Young Design Entrepreneur Award and gets to go to Turkey with the other 4 finalists

CloseUp show at the RCA for LDF

For London design festival we've got a few ribbon stools on show at the RCA as part of the 10 years of Helen Hamlyn research projects (Nick did a project there in 2000-1).

new ribbon stools...



So, these things have been a long time coming since a cosmic brainwave on a flight back from Japan. 
Anyway , the first salable manifestations are polished, sandcast aluminium. Made in England by some proper experts and shiny enough to do your hair in front of.
There will only be 100 made. 
 
The ribbons will be shown in the CLOSE UP exhibtion at the RCA towards the end of September.
